On 16th September, 2022, LYS Energy inaugurated a cutting-edge 1,108.14kWp solar photovoltaic (PV) system at Beni Warehousing Pte Ltd located at Tuas, Singapore.

In order to achieve its sustainability goals of reducing energy use and emissions, Beni Warehousing Pte Ltd partnered with LYS Energy, a Singapore-based solar Independent Power Producer (IPP) that provides end-to-end solar energy solutions across several countries in the region. As the trusted partner in renewable energy (RE) for Commercial & Industrial (C&I), LYS Energy conducted a thorough assessment of Beni Warehousing Pte Ltd's energy consumption needs and delivered a tailored, full turnkey solution designed to provide solar energy as part of a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) contract.

"We couldn't be happier with the results as energy costs have decreased, and we're proud to be doing our part for the environment. LYS Energy was professional, efficient, and made the entire process seamless, thank you!" said Ms. Rachel Tew, from Beni Warehousing Pte Ltd.

LYS Energy was responsible for the project from its execution phase to the installation of the mounting structure and PV modules, emphasizing best-in-class engineering quality and adhering to Health, Environment, and Safety (HSE) standards. The Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) was also provided by LYS Energy Services, and the ownership of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) will be managed by LYS Offset Solutions.

The solar PV system consists of 2,409 high-efficiency monocrystalline PV modules and 7 x 125kW grid-tied inverters with an expected efficiency of greater than 98%. The system was commissioned in September 2022 and is expected to generate approximately 32.939 GWh of total energy output in the contracted years.

This clean energy initiative is projected to offset approximately 535 tons of CO2 emissions annually, making a significant contribution towards reducing the carbon footprint. The PV system contributed average 69% of the load consumption in Q4 2022. Additionally, this initiative is expected to provide significant cost savings of 4.55 million dollars over the 25-year contract period. Overall, this project demonstrates how businesses can adopt sustainable practices by utilizing innovative renewable energy solutions, and we look forward to seeing more companies follow this example.
